Actress talks of her life in ‘Gathering’

Award-winning actress unveils her past in national talk show.

Here’s the 3rd report in a series by ifilm, on the popular talk show ‘The Gathering’, aired by the channel; in one of the episodes, program hosts Sara Bahrami, an award-winning actress. You’ll read excerpts from the talk.

I did a degree in dramatic arts, specializing in theater. Then, I migrated to Tehran, where ‘The Butterfly’, a TV series, happened to be my premiering job. After that, I came to be known by the people, which helped me play a supporting role in ‘Facing Mirrors’ by Negar Azarbayjani, and that brought me a row of films in which I appeared on the silver screen.

Meanwhile, I was still on the theater stage, with ‘Euphrates’ by Maziar Miri; also, I was on ‘Like a Nightmare’, a TV series. However, my first lead role was in ‘Butterfly’, by Jalil Saman.

I read novels; lots of them. That’s one of my most pleasurable activities.

Acting is such a demanding job; it soaks your resources, and you’ll have to fill them once again, so as to be energetic.

Bahrami grabbed Best Actress Award in the 36th Fajr Film Festival, for her lead role in ‘Woodpecker’.

In near future, you’ll read more on the popular, star-driven show, ‘Gathering’, and what the guests, including celebrities, artists, actors, and cineastes and athletes are telling the nation, on the backstage and their private lives.
